Domains Hosted

What are Hosted Domains? What's the difference between an ordinary domain name and a hosted domain name?

In order to create a website, you need two things - your own domain and a web hosting plan for it. The domain registration is the actual web address which you type in a web browser to access a website, while the hosting space is where your site files is going to be. These are two closely related, yet independent services, although many people assume that registering the domain name is enough. Much like the disk space and the monthly traffic features that a given web hosting plan offers, there are a certain number of registered domains which you can include as hosted which means that you can have the web content for them in some account even if the domains are actually registered via a different service provider. In technical terms, it doesn't matter if a domain name is registered and hosted with the exact same company or is registered with one company and directed to another one - either way your websites will operate in exactly the same way.

Hosted Domains in Cloud Hosting

One of the main differences between our cloud hosting plans is the amount of domains which you can host in one account. Having more domains with functioning sites for them usually means employing additional server system resources, so the more domain names you intend to host, the more expensive the plan. That way, we offer you the possibility to choose a less expensive plan if you'd like to have just one or several web sites. In the same time, you are able to upgrade the package or keep the current one and only add additional slots for hosting more domain names in your existing account, so you'll not be limited by this feature. No matter how many domains you host, there is no limit how many domains you can register in your account and it's your decision if you'll also host them or you will forward them to already existing domains through the parking function.

Hosted Domains in Supercharged Cloud Servers

When you acquire a Supercharged Cloud server plan through our company, you will be able to host as many domains as you want no matter whether you register them here or you already own them through a different company. We've decided not to limit this feature because the semi-dedicated plans are very powerful and the load they can handle is quite high, therefore it would not make sense to be able to host a limited number of domain names. The accounts are controlled using the Hepsia Control Panel, that will give you complete control over your hosted domains. You can add a new domain with a few mouse clicks and everything is done quickly and intuitively, in contrast to alternative Control Panels where you might even have to switch between different accounts to handle a couple of domain names. In the event you register a new domain address on our end, it will be hosted automatically in your semi-dedicated account.

Hosted Domains in VPS Servers

If you obtain a VPS server from our company, you'll be able to host as many domain addresses as you like. You'll have your own server, so it is up to you how you will utilize its resources. You'll be able to register new domains through the billing account of your VPS or add domain addresses that you have already registered with a different company. Because we provide three website hosting Control Panels for the servers, you'll have different choices for the hosting part - with HepsiaHepsia CP with unlimited domains but no root access Find out what makes the Hep... More, a newly registered domain is hosted automatically on the server and you are going to manage all hosted domains from a single location (i.e. there are not any main and add-on domains), while with DirectAdmin and cPanel you're able to create a separate account for each and every domain address that you want to host on the server. The last option is practical if you want to give access to your domains to other people.
